Tabak - thanks for the shout out. Although, I'm not sure what led you to introduce everyone to my back, when my front is so prominently featured here . I know, so many years later, and I'm still a staple on Student Council candidates' websites. Amazing really.
Ettie - As usual, I'm not going to let you get away without a response. I'm not so sure about this whole key thing. I've heard of the minhag before, but it just doesn't strike me as not avodah Zora. Do you have any sources to back up this Minhag? I mean, I'd really like to believe it's true. I could get you the key to Wrigley Field...
Josh, I clearly chose the other picture because you can see your absolutely stunning peios.
Oh, and that minhag, it's real josh, and you better believe it. Though that doesn't necessarily negate its avodah zarah status...
shlissle challa rocks!
josh is stupid and so is the picture of his butt.
Any girl that uses Nisht in a sentence has my attention. But Ettie, I looked up your link, and while that explains the source of the Minhag, it hardly validates it. If a minhag isn't based on a specific halachah, it falls into the category of minhag shtuss. And that would be the upside in this example.
So younger sister, next time you're in town, I'd love to see what you've got scribbled away.
And the Favorite, are you calling Sefardic customs even more outrageously Avoda Zora?
As far as choosing between Schlissel challah, and this specific picture, I'd probably also go with the the Challah. But if it were a better picture...
