Hakaras Hatov

I've decided that not enough people have Hakaras Hatov to YU. I don't get it. The place isn't perfect, but I think just about everybody gets some positive things from it, whether socially, academically, or something else. But all I ever hear is YU bashing. I know people are apathetic on campus, but that is better than trashing it. The place really does offer a lot, and while we don't need to be obsessed with it, we should at least be thankful for it. And look back on the good times we have. Because any bitterness is really a reflection of us and our inability to be grateful. Share the good times while you can. And even afterwards.

Um Josh, I'm suprised I have to remind a seasoned, veteran blogger like YOU that there was an entire post centered around this, even if it began only as a tangent because YU wasn't responding with information as fast as other colelges were. Shame on you.

And to pre-empt Diana:
"why so serious all of a sudden?!?"

Touche.
I knew I would get nailed for that one; however, utilizing a quasi-utilitarian moral ethic to guide me, I pensively weighed my options and decided that the spelling mistake was well worth it, rather than risk a "post deleted by author". So you should just know that the spelling mistake had a lot of thought put into it.

Not sure where to put this, but I think this demonstrates why Shmulik shouldn't write his own accolades on his website.
Copied and pasted:
"Through his hard work and involvement in making things happen, Shmulik has cultivated and established Personal and professional working relationship with Yeshiva administration getting along well for the benefit of the student body. Shmulik is known to many of administration he has been involved with including:"

Ok, I gave you all a fair chance.

Mr. "I-haven't-posted-in-a-week-and-a-half" Tabak - The prior post was not about Hakaras Hatov to YU; it was about YU being less helpful than other colleges. While I could've posted this as a comment to that post, I think it is distinct enough to merit it's own discussion. Plus, that's how blog's work- you think of something, you post it. And that's how I got so serious.

Orlee- good work. Not because you nailed Tabak, serving as some sort of vicarious revenge. Just that he's hard to catch, and I didn't think that an Observer editor would be the one to do it.

And Tabak again - as always, classy with admitting his mistakes. As to Shmulik's? Come on, did we expect any different? We should be happy he was able to put together a full (run-on) sentence to begin with.
